First Eucharist begins with First Reconciliation preparation September-December, then First Eucharist preparation January-April. (see Reconciliation page to register) First Eucharist typically takes place in the second grade.

All are invited to Monday evening small group faith sharing sessions at Pax from either 4:45-5:45 pm or 6:30-7:30 pm.  It is especially important for public school families to attend these sessions.

In addition, attendance is essential at:

•  monthly Growing in Faith Together (G.I.F.T.) inter-generational experiences    

•  a mini-retreat for candidates and parents on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 9-12:30

•  First Eucharist rehearsal on Wed. April 21, 2010 from 6:30-8

•  First Eucharist mass (choose one time) 

   Saturday, April 24, 2010 -  5:15 pm
   Sunday, April 25, 2010  - 9:00 am
  
   Sunday, April 25, 2010  - 10:45 am

Through the Sacrament of the Eucharist we experience 

the Body and Blood of Christ –  His real presence

Signs of readiness:

•   the child attends mass regularly with their family

•   prayer is a part of the child's daily life

•   the child shows a sense of reverence for God

•   the child has a relationship with Jesus

•   the child knows the difference between ordinary bread and wine and the Body and Blood of Jesus
