First Reconciliation begins with a parent meeting in September and concludes with a communal reconciliation service in December.

All are invited to Monday evening classes at Pax from either 4:45-5:45 pm or 6:30-7:30 pm.  It is especially important for public school families to attend these sessions.

In addition, attendance is essential at:

  •  monthly Growing in Faith Together (G.I.F.T.) inter-generational experiences    

  •  a mini-retreat for candidates and parents on a Saturday from 9-12:30

  •  the communal reconciliation service

Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation we experience
the healing mercy of God.

Children show readiness to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation when they:

  •   know the difference between right and wrong

  •   know the difference between sin and accidents or mistakes

  •   are capable of saying, "I'm sorry" on their own

  •   are able to reflect on their actions when asked

  •   understand that God will always forgive them

  •   show a sincere desire to right wrongs
